CARBBIND —

The smart solution for
leak management

Quick to use.
Powerful results.
Designed for sustainability.

Are you tired of run-of-the-mill binders, too?

Health & Safety Risks

  • Risk of back injuries from carrying heavy bags
  • Risk of pneumoconiosis due to high dust levels
  • Risk of slipping due to known binding agents, even when wearing safety shoes
  • Granules leave behind dangerous lubricating films when used
  • Granules pose a high FOD safety risk on airfields

Technical & Weather-Related Limitations

  • Conventional binders form a heavy, sticky mass when exposed to leaks
  • High transportation costs due to the material’s heavy weight
  • Commonly used binders become lodged in the pores of traffic surfaces
  • Mineral dust with sharp edges damages equipment components
  • Use in rain or damp conditions is practically impossible
  • Standard binders sink to the ground immediately upon contact with water

Application Issues & Labor Intensity

  • Conventional binding agents are often used simply because people are not familiar with any alternatives
  • Out of habit, the same products are purchased time and again
  • Working in familiar binding agents with a broom is backbreaking work
  • Hardly practical for use in higher parts of the system
  • A wide variety of different binders are required to remove various substances

Waste Disposal & Environmental Issues

  • Conventional binders are neither biodegradable nor sustainable
  • Conventional binders cannot simply be incinerated
  • High disposal costs due to their high weight

Absorption Capacity & Efficiency

  • Conventional absorbents do not absorb leaks; they are merely wetted
  • Standard absorbents do not permanently contain leaks; the liquid runs off
  • High material consumption with low absorption capacity
  • Repeated rework and cleaning are necessary
  • More unused absorbent is disposed of than the actual amount of leaked fluid
